[s-cars] Yet another tire thread

Drove out of garage this fine Monday AM, only to find LR tire mostly
flat and un repairable :(  DOh!..  an opportunity to use the sams club
michelin floor jack!  (which made quick work of the change.)
These were yoko db's which I really really liked, but thought I should
consider perhaps the cheaper Khumo's as there is a good chance I'll go
through whatever I get fairly quick.
Also, is the tire rack generally the cheapest place fer tires?
Thoughts, if any appreciated.
