Peter,

I had the same problem, however, it was the 90 degree breather hose at the 
back of the valve cover. It is right above the area where you are seeing the 
oil. The oil seeps out where the clamp attaches it to the valve cover. Mine was 
damaged on the side facing the engine, so I could not see it. I noticed it when 
I was replacing the valve cover gasket :(
