rut-roh, here I go agreeing with Hap again.
I might also direct some of you to thing outside the box. Are we sure this
squeal isn't generated by bracket design. I might remind some of the more
seasoned quattro guys to take a gander at the tuning forks splaying from UFO
rotor/caliper combinations, as well as the welded weights hanging from the lower
spring perch. I'm betting all that jazz is there for a reason.
POR, I've never used any antiseize or used any special pad shim with the
aluminum blocked bracket design in my BR kit (scott j/carl j design). I've
mounted them on Scars aplenty, urq, 5ktqw, v8. Nary a squeal from the stock pads.
Scott, just thinking something like Hap in the Windy City, Justusson

I was wondering if you had considered the noise factor for a set of floating
rotors. I for one, even with my limited turbine engined damaged hearing would
not want to hear the constant clickety clack from floating rotors.
Hap, barely hearin my wife in Evahboost, Maguire
