[s-cars] To vent to atmosphere or to recycle blow by gasses

o.k. let me try this, I still could be wrong, but here it goes.
Recirculation
5 units of air minding there own business get swallowed into your
engine, 2 of them end up getting blown past the piston into the
crankcase and back into the intake just after the maf, now everything
constant, rpm, load yada yada, 3 unit's of air enter the maf and the 2
recycled not so shiny happy air goes with it.
Venting
5 units of air enter, 2 units leave, never make it back though to the o2
sensor, maybe leave thought the valve stem seals, hmm I think that this
is a leak..... I am second guessing myself here because if it get's
combusted then it was accounted for.
Maybe someone who got some sleep last night could hypothesis a bit.

Trevor, I have experienced no lumpy idle in my car, and have been
venting to
atmosphere for the better part of a year. More importantly, the OE
crankcase vent tube dumped into the air intake AFTER the MAF, so how is
the
MAF accounting for these gasses?

So I have gone around and around on this one, and actually it was after
reading an article that Ned has on his site that I realized. I have
been venting my crankcase gas to atmosphere because I feared oil in my
intake track and I am to lazy to build an air oil separator.
But then I realized that blow-by gasses need to be accounted for with a
MAF or it is basically a leak, so ruff idle and issues with getting the
correct signal/map correlation are thrown out the door. AAh now I am
kicking myself for not trying to go to speed density setup that converts
it to a maf signal instead of installing a big MAF. Long story short I
started to build an air oil separator last night.
