Mike,

While I believe it is everyone's right to do what/how/when to their
car, I must totally disagree with your statement.

I have a1995.5 S6 avant and after "lowering" it, would NEVER drive this
body style or the sedan version any other way. I just now returned from
a trip to NYC (i am in DC) with four of us in the car, full luggage,
and a dog and there is zero notice in either ride height and/or
performance. i have never tracked my avant and cannot for the near
future, but the ride quality for the street is far superior than stock.

the car has the exact same characteristics as when with the stock
suspension setup. oh wait, except for 70% of the body roll, +/- 100% of
the brake dive and most of the acceleration squat are all but
eliminated! i have no issue with anyone wanting there car in stock form
(hell, in 20 years many of us will be retuning these rides to that form
i bet), but to just say there is no need to and "forget about cargo" is
silly. actually now that i think about it, i moved across country with
my avant lowered and all i owned in it and had not one single issue.

not trying to start a fight or flame war in anyway, but i just thought
other valiant avant lovers would agree.

sincerely,

matt ludwig.
