Directly from James Bowes Email.

$1000 for:

Black Carrera calipers
Zimmerman Euro A8 rotors
Porsche pad dampers
Porsche wear sensors
SS brake lines with all fittings and gaskets all mounting hardware

The brackets already cost $250, so that's already $1250. Who knows how much
to get the calipers machined??? $50??? So that's $1300. $270 upcharge for
red, that's $1570. Backed by? No one. I can get the red kit from ECS for
$1350.

I am just reading from the email that I got from James Bowes. See below,
starts at "Hey everyone!"

Hey everyone!

I've called pretty much everywhere I can think of for these parts, and I
think I've gotten about the best deal I can. Here's the deal:

I'll provide the following system for $1000 including shipping

Black Carrera calipers
Zimmerman Euro A8 rotors
Porsche pad dampers
Porsche wear sensors
SS brake lines with all fittings and gaskets all mounting hardware

upcharges:
slotted rotors = $80 per pair
silver calipers = $100 per pair
red calipers = $270 per pair (ouch! not a typo!)

We've got a place to order pads that will give a free liter of ATE Super
Blue fluid with every set sold.. since everyone's going to want different
pads, we aren't going to get any volume discount, so I'll leave that up to
you guys. Call:

Paul Weston
Weston MotorSports

I'll need to get order confirmation by Friday this week in order to get the
parts ordered. Please send me back an email with the parts you need and I'll
compile a list! I know it's a little more than I'd hoped for, but the parts
have gone up dramatically in cost since the Euro is kicking the ass out of
the dollar.

DISCLAIMER! THE PRICES ABOVE DEPEND ON ENOUGH PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THE
GROUP BUY! AKA, we need people to get in on this one!

Hope to hear back from everyone soon!

-James

James,

BIRA has generally indicated that Sys3 costs around $1,000. Mr. Bowes (Sys
3 GB leader) confirms that the Sys 3 group can obtain Zimmerman A8 Euro
Rotors for $170.00 USD from Autobraun; Porsche 996 monobloc from from
Cresent or Sunset at $250.00 each; Mintex Reds for $50.00
(http://www.purems.com/); 4 SS Lines for $60.00 from Earl's Indy or from
Summit Racing; and $250 for the BIRA brackets. The bolts and stuff are
about $20 and ATE Superblue is about $10.00. Shipping and taxes have to be
very close to a wash. So, BIRA Sys 3 adds up to $1,060.
According to ECS' web site, Stage 2 is $1,350. It appears that BIRA is
$290.00 *less* than ECS' Stage 2. So, where's your Stage 2 "was
actually cheaper" coming from?
