I assume you mean the air filter, which is no big deal. Carefully remove the
cover with the Audi rings (if its still there), undo the clips around the
airbox, disconnect the MAF hose (hose between MAF and turbo), remove the top
of the airbox, drop in a new filter. I prefer the OEM paper filter to the
K&N after trying both back to back.
As far as the rich plugs, you could also have a leak in the pressure hose
plumbing. This may also be contributing to your miss. The most common of
these is the crossover pipe to intercooler hose (Michelin-Man hose). Even in
good condition, the wimpy factory hose clamps are prone to leakage,
especially with chipped cars. While you are going over the turbo plumbing,
make sure the bypass valve is the 710n bosch, If money allows upgrade to the
Stratmosphere Hyperboost.
