What are the pros and cons of going with the RS2 turbo over the stock
K24?

Pros:
A bunch more power, and a top end that doesn't really let up before redline.

Cons:
A loss of bottom end punch that is particularly noticeable when you're
starting from a standstill. The other con... the likelihood that you will
eventually trash your tranny, unless you currently own an S6.

How much of a performance increase is there with the RS2 Turbo
setup?

I've used my G-Tech consistently during my mods. When stock, my the G-Tech
consistently and repeatedly reported 185-195 wheel hp. With an RS2 package
consisting of the EM, turbo, injectors and MAF, a VMAP transducer, and the
appropriate software, G-Tech was reporting 301-304. When mounted up to the 4 wheel
dyno, the dyno indicated 325hp and 401 ft/lbs.

What 0-60 and 1/4 mile times could one expect after this
upgrade?

Again, G-Tech info... My car did repeated 5.3 0-60 times, and 13.8 1/4 mile
times with the full setup. Keep in mind that these runs were done at 5500 ft
above sea level. I've never tested the complete setup at sea level, but FWIW,
I ran a 13.8 1/4 mile (G-Tech) at sea level with just the turbo and EM, and a
TAP 2.5 bar chip.

What does this upgrade do to your fuel economy (I'm only
asking because I just got bent over at the gas station for over $2 per
gallon of premium and I'm still sore.).

My fuel economy suffered exactly zero, zilch, nada. In combined driving, my
car got 21-23mpg, and it still gets exactly that.

I already have the Samco hoses. What else on the car is likely to blow up
if I add this much more power?

Your transmission will likely fail. I understand that Feico (the developer
of the VMAP pressure transducer) has developed a version of the VMAP that
limits output in first gear, designed specifically to reduce the likelihood of
trashing your first gear. You'd have to ask him for details, as I'm only relaying
hearsay. Other than that, my car has handled the upgrades with no known side
effects.

If the RS2 package is only a good start, what were you referring to
beyond this? A different turbo altogether? Different software? Nitrous???

Talk to Hap or Mike Pederson about their stuff. They own and drive cars well
beyond the RS2. The dollars go up rapidly, however. Bang for the buck, the
RS2 is very hard to beat, IMHO.
