Noah,
Congratulations on the car. Looks like it can be a great buy !
I would not give up on the factory installation that easily. There is
a fuse back at the changer. Check out the radio and CD changer pages
of Charlie Smith's site. The RF interface box (magic silver box) is
the important part. The Bose changers are dirt cheap for the old
model that works here. There are some write-ups on AudiWorld about
aftermarket systems and ipod hook-ups.
