The '01 SVT Cobra does have IRS. The big differences are that the '01
does not have the supercharger, it is aluminum block and 5-speed. The
'03+ has iron block, dropped compression, forged crank and rods (don't
know
if the '01 does or not) and 6-speed. Otherwise, the '01 and the '03 are
very comparable.

And no, the TT is not comparable to the UrS that you mentioned
previously.
Simply put, the TT does not have the power I'm looking for, and the
handling
of the Mustang is comparable if not better- thus the Mustang laps much
faster.

The Mustang is not a refined sophisticated platform by any means-
however,
there are no current Audis with the raw power of the Mustang- stock vs.
stock.

You don't need to modify the SVT Cobra much, if any, to make it handle-
the
comparisons to the C5 chassis Vette speak to that.

but you're not considering this one. you are looking at the '01 and it 
does not have the IRS, no? it has the solid rear. i am still confused 
though how/why a stock mustang can/will "out handles much better than 
the Audi."

why aren't those "vaild" comparisons? audi is audi and mustang is 
mustang. i think these are pretty good examples of a variety of audis 
handling very well.
