hey... you're talking about a new 7 series vs a 10-12 y/o Audi S-Car.   It's
like apples and tires.

Maybe I should have been more specific.    If I get rid of the 95 s6 and get
into a 98 540i what should I expect?

I already have two friends with Beemers.
98 M3.   Oil and tires only since purchase and it handles IMHFO, as well or
better than a corvette.

99 BMW 528i 2.8/5 speed w/110K,  sure, not the power of a chipped up drag
strip S4/S6, but I had to classify it as the best car on the road.   Not a
rattle to be found, not a vibration, not a problem anywhere..
Transmission smoother than Pamela Anderson's ass (before she had the whole
rocker obsession).    Ever see "The Fifth Element?"   The 528i is like the
perfect being.
