[s-cars] Gack! No compression, no start,

Yah know, there *is* coolant missing.
This is all, unfortunately, beginning to make sense. I have been
losing coolant from an unidentified leak for about 7-8 months. Looked
for the location of the leak several times but never have been able to
pinpoint it. I did notice coolant coming down from somewhere on the
front of the block last week but again, couldn't pinpoint it. I
wonder if a hairline break in the HG could cause this sort of thing?
I once had a head gasket blow on a '77 Pontiac that I had. There was
water coming out of the exhaust pipe! Thankfully, nothing like that
with the S4, though.
Good thoughts, guys.
Thanks,
