[s-cars] Now my hood won't open

Your spring-loaded hood pins(what are they really called??) on the
front underside lip of the hood are out of alignment. Probably
laterally out of alignment, rather than too long or too short. Get a
big adjustable wrench or a pair of channel locks and loosen the keeper
nut at the top of the pin above the spring. DON'T loosen it too much
or you'll be in trouble--just enough so that you can move the pin
around. Slowly lower the hood and visually align the pin to the holes
in the grill, then tighten. Close and try again. It may take a few
tries but you'll get it. You'll proabaly find that only one of them
needs to be adjusted.
