One of my former customers moved overseas to Turkey some time ago, and now 
wants to purchase a used Audi.

USA expatriate currently living in Turkey wants to purchase a (used) A/S6, 
A/S8 or similar.

Which country (Europe?) would the best deal / best (condition?) car likely 
be purchased?

What is the recommended method to purchase, ie: private party, dealer, USA 
military base, etc. ?

How can I find a reliable mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection? Is 
it necessary? What should it cost?

What country, what company would be best for choosing insurance? Can a 
non-resident obtain reasonable insurance? (Car will be driven in Turkey, 
Europe, maybe eastern Europe)

What taxes (or exemptions) apply to a non-resident (purchase of car)? Would 
it make more sense to buy in Europe (Germany?) and (drive it?) back to 
Turkey, or maybe just to buy in Turkey?

Any recommendation about a qualified, trustworthy and (possibly?) 
reasonably priced mechanic in Istanbul?

Looking for clues, details, tips, short-cuts, things-to-avoid.
