[s-cars] Canuck quirk headlight relay

Tony,

I've done the mod on my '96 S6. Just follow the instructions at "Igor's
Supernova Headlight Modification" on S-Cars.org. Beside relaying the
headlamp, you'll have to modify the relay panel wiring for the fogs and also
modify the Check Bulb relay.

When I've done this, I've also cleaned the lens, change the lows to 9005
bulbs and switch to sylvania cool blue (nice light output but short life) so
I can't comment on wether this mod is worth it or not if you stay with the
standard bulbs.

I found two drawback to this mod:
- The DRL is the same intensity as the lows. In fact, I don't really care
but I had to mention it.
- The headlight are now cramped with relays and wires and it makes the bulbs
less easy to change.

Vincent.

Canuck S-heads...

Was measuring the volt drops to my S6 headlights and it appears I'm losing
0.5V to the lo-beams between positive trminal stud and headlight connector.

Now, if I was to implement a relay to pump up the volume, how would I do it
with Canuck regs that have the lo-beams on with 13V for DRL. There is no
on/off control for the relay.

Any Canucks out there that have implemented the relay fix on their S-cars?

Cheers,

TOny
