Before you commit the patient to surgery, try cleaning the connector at the 10
disc unit. I use a spray Electric Motor Cleaner. I lost one of the (stereo)
channels on mine a few years back. A good shot of cleaner and she was good to go.
The spray cleaner has fixed a handful of electrical problems over the years. Seems
the UrS connectors require perfect connections, or they get tempermental.
