It would make sense ( to me) that if the autocheck module is saying that the
head lights are blow, then it needs to see more load.

If you still have the power from the factory location (lamp control box)
then it's just a matter of using ohm's law to find the correct value of
resistor to draw the correct current thru the LCB. If your HID's are 35
Watts, and your LCB is looking for 50 then the difference is 15 Watts.
P=V*I
So 15=12*x
         = 1.25 Amps
and R=V/I
         = 9.6 ohms

(I hope It's been a while)

Ofcourse if you have relayed the power to the hids, well fogettaboutit.
