Chris,
Sometimes a brake light when car is first started means that the check valve in the Accum. is leaking.
Here is a couple of ways to check the check valve.
When you turn the car off overnight note the Pentosin level in the reservoir.
Look at the level again in the morning (or after a couple hours). If the level increases
then the check valve is leaking the volume of Pentosin in the Accum. back into the
reservoir.
You can also do the pump the brake test. If you have say 25+ pumps right after
turning the car off and say only about 5 pumps or less after it sits awhile then the
check valve is leaking.
If your system is dirty it can cause the check valve to stick and leak. Flushing it
might help. It might heal itself with new fluid.
