Folks,
Since I claim to know little of these technical issues (although I AM a
mechanic, engineer, professional race car driver wannabe,) for me the
RS2 attraction was simply that it IS plug and play.
Genius that I am, . through hanging out here, shrewd planning and
irrational exuberance, I have added more $$ to the car than it was
worth, only to decrease it's value. Now that's genius rationalized only
by the kick in the butt the rs2 provides;)
I have perhaps gone a bit past RS2 via software, fmic, sachs race clutch
and HSRB, but it is a very drivable daily driver (for me anyhoo) that
can also be a blast (oh what a blast!) on the track a couple x's a year.
Go as far as your pocketbook will take you, but in the end it's still
4,000 (four thousand) friggin pounds;)
I will save the dough it takes to go beyond for maintenance, repairs and
maintaining my imaginary position on the imaginary wait list for the
imaginary Audi LeMans:)
My .002
Bill M
