Maybe the last S6s delivered to the NA market whose owners responded to the
survey were in the 89,000 range, but the serial number sequence isn't
specific to S6s. It includes all A6 production worldwide. Sorry, I should
have mentioned that when I was referring to end of production numbers. See
the following list of serial numbers by month from ETKA. BTW, for some
unkown reason, ETKA never lists the actual final serial number of production
for a given model year. The number for the last month of production is
always padded, and by quite a bit, to some nice even amount. For instance,
A6/S6 production was approximately 10k units per month for the previous few
months and then in the last month of production they build 38k of them? I
don't think so.

30.06.1994 4A-S-017 547
31.07.1994 4A-S-025 770
31.08.1994 4A-S-028 949
30.09.1994 4A-S-039 039
31.10.1994 4A-S-047 656
30.11.1994 4A-S-057 414
31.12.1994 4A-S-065 200
31.01.1995 4A-S-073 031
28.02.1995 4A-S-081 022
31.03.1995 4A-S-091 691
30.04.1995 4A-S-101 056
31.05.1995 4A-S-112 132
30.06.1995 4A-S-150 000
By the way, if you have cars built in May listed then they should be between
101057 and 112131. And I have some photos of a S6 Avant that was listed as
serial number 113907 when it was on Ebay (don't ask me why I save these
things..it's just one of the many weird things I do), so there were
apparently some June production S6s that made it to this neck of the woods.
