[s-cars] Notes from my trip to Yosemite...

First off I got excellent gas mileage. This was a realistic range for a
tank of gas. I saw the range go as high as 950km but this was going down
Grants Pass, so it's totally unrealistic. I only had 3/4 of a tank which
means if I had a full tank the range would have been over 1000km for
that moment. I wonder what would happen to the display? Anyway I
digress. The car performed wonderfully even with 5 people in the car and
a trunk so full it would barely close. All that weight in the car did
make me wish for better brakes on one occasion though. I'm lucky that I
made it because my car was still on blocks at 5:30pm on the day of
departure. I was waiting on two outer control arm bushings that were
supposed to be in on Monday. It was Thursday and they still hadn't come
in. I ended up getting them from another supplier. I had also taken my
rear deck out to fix my roller sunblind. I fixed it but I also let the
seatbelts fully retract while the deck is out. DON'T DO THIS! I couldn't
pull the belts back out because too much material had wound in to them.
I finally got them fixed after much frustration and a spring flying out.
Overall it was a great trip and a great wedding. I averaged 10.5l/100km
and my average speed was 105km/hr. The trip took 31 hours roundtrip. 16
there and 15 back. I love my S4. 3306 kilometres and I didn't use a
drop of oil.
