[s-cars] Bumper bracket repair

Igor,
Just to follow up: my repair made the bracket a little too large with the
Bik pen topper so I removed it and just used the metal edge to catch the
bottom of the dove tail bracket. If I was to do it again I would use
heavier gauge metal and form a lip more like the original.

decided to repair one of the brackets on the side of the bumper. It was not
rocket surgery or a great feat of engineering but I thought I would post a
couple of pictures. I used some galvanized metal channel I had laying
around since I built my boogie van for a trip to California back in 1972
(those were the days!). Cut a small piece of it, cut it to fit, bent a lip
on it and riveted it and glued it in place. The capper (literally) was
taking the cover off a Bik pen, slicing it and gluing it on the lip. Hope
this is helpful to another lister with a broken bumper bracket. Pictures are
