The coolant temperature should be 90 degrees celcius under operating
conditions. If the gauge is reading low either the thermostat is stuck
open or you have a bad multifunction temp sensor (MFTS). If the oil temp
is not getting to the normal range quickly, then it's a good indication
of a stuck open t-stat, otherwise its probably a bad MFTS.

The MFTS is easy to replace, it's a 10 min job with a deep socket (29
mm??), the t-stat is a little longer, but quite easy to replace. I
replace the t-stat every 80-100,000 km.
