Bob,
I am on my 4th or 5th iteration of the Samco MM hose piping and
clamping. The hose just kept blowing off under full boost,
whatareyougonnado?
Right now I have:
1. a steel reinforcement ring inside the plastic cross-pipe.
2. a steel exhaust pipe extension connecting the two wrongfully cut
pieces off the MM hose (Don't ask. Did I ever mention how pissed I was
at Ivor over at TAP?).
3. a boatload of constant torque Breeze clamps holding the pieces together.
4. two steel brackets made out of cheap perforated clamps at 180º
opposite to each other holding the two adjacent Breeze clamps together
thus precluding them from slipping off the sleek Si hose in opposite
directions.
Everything is torqued to the Max. Contrary to the popular belief, even
the Breeze clamps need re-torquing at least once a year.
So far so good. Knocking on Carbon Fibre.
