according to my friend the audi mechanic, the certified warranty is
"the shiznits".  he says it's worth every penny it costs, especially on
a biturbo V6.  they did a lot of work under audi certified, and he said
audi certified is much more cooperative than aftermarket warranties (which
fight you on everything).

so based on that, i'd pay the money to have the car certified and get
the audi certified warranty.  fix every little thing that's wrong with
the car before 2007 (when the certified warranty runs out).
