Tony,
 
Get a piece of sheet metal or aluminum, cut it and bend it so that it
can act as a horizontal funnel guiding the oil past the lines.

Learned this trick from a diesel mechanic, he got paid her truck he
changed the diesel filters on. Having multiple bays he would put two
trucks in the air and using one of these "funnels" could remove both of
the filters and they would drain into the "funnel" into his catch can.

Start one truck draining and then start the other....he basicly doubled
his income with this trick!
