[s-cars] Blown Hoses, MPG's & Cloaking Device Failure

Manny,
My deepest sympathy for a fellow avant cloakster. Just out of curiosity, and
for the general well being of those that prefer to drive at year-of-car
speeds, where did you get nabbed in PA (highway and mile marker, if you
recall. If not it should be described in items 35-44 on the yellow carbon
slip, in the lower left corner). I drive through PA on a regular basis (for
@ 12 years or so), and I have recently noticed a disturbing trend in the
increase of enforcement. For many years, I seldom saw a cop cruiser at all.
In the last year I've paid the tax twice (SR 70 mile post 45.6, SR 80 mile
post 284), around two bills a pop. Instant on both times.
V1 is great, but if you're out there by yourself, it serves only as a
confirmation that you'll soon be seeing a light show in your rear view. I am
considering getting something with a countermeasure, anyone out there using
such a device/s?
WRT your dismal MPG's My suspicion is if you are able to get 22 MPG on the
highway, its gotta be the lead bricks in your sneakers that are causing the
12 MPGs. You have to occasionally let the needle come off the 25 psi mark,
and your MPGs should improve. But what fun would that be?
