there's a gasket between the inner axleshaft and the transmission flange.
that's probably what's sticking.  mine will probably stick quite a bit
the next time it comes off, because i sealed it with RTV.

i don't recall exactly, but i think there's a slightly raised lip so
you need to get some separation between the faces before you can drop
the inner axleshaft.

i was able to break the flange loose by twisting the axleshaft by hand,
but if you can't produce enough torque to do this, paul's suggested 
approach of putting the wheel back on should work.
