Paul,

I have already tried to 'loosen' them in the tightening direction,
but it hasn't seemed to help. <g> I did not know that the bolt
heads were serrated, though. That does explain some of the
difficulty. I've been using PB Blaster (3 applications already)
on the bolt heads, the mating surface of the bracket and the
strut and on the ends of the bolts (about 1-2 threads visible).
I'll now add a bit of Liquid Wrench - thanks for the tip on that.
