So let's clear things up, cuz I think your talking about the plastic
inserts that go into the intake manifold casting? Am I right, cuz if
you are I have never seen them leak, maybe you have dirt or something
gummed up with them. Did they leak before or did you just take them out
and replace them using xxx on them and then they leaked? If it's
orings, I like parker or dow o-ring lube, particularly like the
non-curing silicone stuff, dow corning 55 or 111. If it's the plastic
parts then I would say you might be best to get new ones, and I dunno
but I would think Halomar or dow 111 might be the most I would use, If I
got really pissed maybe a Teflon paste, but the good stuff. I suspect
if you have used tape then you have f...ed things up a bit and will have
to really clean everything up before you can get it to seal again.

Subject: [s-cars] Injector insert sealant?
Can someone tell me which sealant to use on the injector inserts (aan).
I have tried teflon tape, toctite 565, and now permaseal gasket maker.
I would have tried rtv but that is not suitable with fuel. Nothing
seals it, nothing is strong enough to hold pressure. The bentley says
nothing about them. Please help before I JB weld them in!
Thanks
Stacy
