Paul,
Why did you not go with the BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW2's at only $2
more per tire? They seem to have higher review ratings than the MX's.
Also, did you consider using a 245/40/17 tire, as Audi recommends for
our cars when equipped with 17x8 wheels?
I'm on the edge of ordering tires myself for my 17x8 Borbet Type T's,
and can't decide whether between 245/40 or 255/40 (which some have
suggested as better fitment) for the 17's. I think I want the MX's as
you are getting, but with TireRack's back order on htem, and my new
RSi's still on, I think the KDW's are my best bet.

Heh, I never said I was the brightest bulb on the tree, sharpest knife
in the drawer, wasn't a few fries short of a Happy Meal blah blah blah,
Emre. The way my tires get, er, used I didn't bother to do much
research, just had an idea of what tire I wanted, cheaply, and went for
it.
Regret it now that TIRE F'N CRACK boned me on 'having them in stock'.
F'n idiots. Ah well.
WRT 245 v 255... did I consider that? Um, in a word... no. Audi also
recommends lots of other stupid things, I think I'll push the boat way
out here and 'live on the edge' with my 255s. Realistically... larger
footprint and fills up fender gap (big difference). So, no, wasn't even
a fart in the wind here for me.
I have heard decent things on them BFG's tho, who knows. Looking
forward to my CUM-HOs tho, can't wait. Anything's better than wobbly
(potholes) wear bar'd Snowsports 8-).
