Well Keith, if you are going to redo the valves anyway give some
consideration to slightly "+" sizing them.  You can go 32.5mm with a tuliped
intake, and up to 28.5 on the exhaust with an inconal replacement from
Techtonics up in ? Oregon.  Let me know if you want a photo of the
difference.  They claim, if you are working with a good head shop, that  you
can (well should be able) to keep the stock valve seats.

Ah, the main bearing price sounds out of line.  Could this be mains +
connecting rods?  Still sounds a bit high.
