[s-cars] RS2 mod questions

Rolf:

A BMW 540i is no match for a RS2'd S4. The 540i has 280 HP stock, while
a RS2 is 350-370 HP. When I was chipped with a MTM 1+, I was dead even
with a 540i (Auto). A 6 speed would have probably beat me.

If you are implying that a quattro has an advantage in a drag race, you
are incorrect. The grip of the all wheel drive puts all the force on the
clutch and unless you are willing to dump the clutch at 6,000 rpm or
slip it, your 60 ft times will be disappointing.

An RS2's S4/S6 will run anywhere from 13.5-14.5 at about 100-105 mph at
a drag strip depending on your launch and your skill of gear changing.
With my tired / worn out clutch, the best I could achieve was 14.5 @ 103
mph, with a poor 60 ft time of 2.5 sec. A quicker 60 ft would have
dropped me down to the mid to high 13's.

If your friend's 540i is a 6 speed and he can drive, then you may be out
$100.
