Ken,
Do yourself a favor and get a pressure guage on the fuel rail.
This will tell you for sure with out a doubt if you have any pressure
related problems.
- if you see the pressure dropping as the engine runs then you can be
certain the problem lies there. If the pressure drops while idling, uplug
the FP fuse or relay, if it drops faster than you at least know the FP is
working and you likely have a bad FPR, or clogged filter.
There needs to be certain diagnostic steps taken, a fuel pressure gauge is
one of them unfortunately.
In my case I think a datalogging wideband O2 sensor / display will be one of
those "required" diagnostic tools.
