[s-cars] Fuel pressure guage

Before you go to the trouble and expense, try a can of ether (starting
fluid). If the car starts and runs with full power - it ain't fuel
pressure. BTDT last week. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump relay,
and filter only to discover that the car still wouldn't start.

Your car needs fuel, air and spark to run - hot or cold, day or night.
If it starts with ether and dies, it has spark and air. If it
continues to run after the ether is gone, it also has fuel. If it runs
with full power, it has full fuel pressure.

No need to go to heroic measures yet. I was nearly led to install a FP
gauge myself. I'm glad I didn't because it's simply another
(potential) place for gas to leak.

just sayin'...
