FWIW, if you install a Bosch BPV "backwards" (boost entering the bottom of the valve), it will last you 2 or 3 high boost runs, and then blow the diaphragm.  The diaphragm on the Bosch valve is "unprotected" in a small area near the exit (side) port.  High boost from the bottom of the valve results in blowing the diaphragm through the "unprotected" area like a ballon.  Doesn't take long before it's shot.

I guess I was mixing up the words a bit...oops.    It looks like I have the 
Forge "Race" diverter valve with the diaphragm, not the Forge 007 valve with 
the piston.    This race valve with the diaphragm is the one that I was 
describing (and accidentally interchanging the words piston and 
diaphragm...my mistake).      I don't know how the 007 valve is supposed to 
go.
