hi Keith

22 Eur is about 30 US$ at the moment ....

RS10W60 is (including 19% VAT) is 850 Kc at a VW/Audi/Skoda dealer, with 25
kc/1 US$ you are at about $34 .... what can I say.

Liter of 5w50 505.01 is approx. $27/liter

all the above is pricing from May - rest assured that most shops follow the
oil prices better than refinery .. and no doubt about distribution profits
...

Is that in the Czech Republic? In Germany, you can get Castrol RS10W60 at
the local grocery stores or home improvement stores for
10-12 EUR per liter, and even at the gas stations its 18-22 EUR per liter,
all including 16% VAT.... If you're friends with a mechanic who buys it by
the barrel, you can get "refills" for 7-9 EUR per liter
:)

Sounds like the Czech Castrol distributor is making some nice profits!!!

Cheers,
Keith
