[s-cars] anyone besides me tempted to pump regular gas?

If you don't step on the pedal too much and don't let the turbo spool up
much... It would run on regular.

Now and then when a friend borrows my car he or she will fill it with
regular. The engine pings a little at lower RPM but it runs otherwise. I
think that the ECU can retard the timing only so much. If the ping is due
to just the compression and boost pressure alone then it just pings anyway.
I'm stuck with 91 Octane in CA but at least it runs better than 87. I'm
tempted too, but I already know how it will run. Last time it happened I
couldn't wait to run the tank of gas out of it.
