[s-cars] anyone besides me tempted to pump regular gas?

It's nearly impossible to audibly detect high speed knock, so if it's 
pinging while running, you may never know. Your only clues, ECU
throws an over knock limit code and perhaps EGT. Unless the owner
is prepared to risk it (and I know it's SOMEWHAT harder to spool an
RS2 vs stock K24) and wants to risk blowing the head over $520 or so 
a year, then he should go for it. If not, then suck it up and run the 
proper fuel. Perhaps if the car was totally stock you may get away 
with it, but not modded with an RS2. If it makes everyone feel better,
even my "grocery, I mean building supply, getter Saabaru needs 
premium, and it doesn't get any better gas milage than the UrS. And it
doesn't like regular (though it can take 92 okay) either. So I'M stuck 
either way.
