I would view that as another positive.  I can not stand technology that thinks it is smarter than I am and is geared towards the lowest common denominator.  Just say no to DRLs.  Plus DRLs tend to defeat the purpose of flash to pass.  Not as much contrast between on and brighter on during the day.
