[s-cars] HID lights group buy - $185/set delivered

It's not a requirement to have DRLs. They don't give you discounts for
DRLs like they do ABS. Are insurance companies going to not cover
people that have cars without them? It would be no different. I
wouldn't worry about it and would have no qualms with removing them on
any car I owned that had them. But that's just my opinion.

Bob-
My concern with losing stock DRLs is insurance- I wouldn't want to be in
an accident and be
blamed by the insurance company for "disabling a safety device," or some
stupid nonsense
like that.

I guess the Valeo ballasts that Volvo uses are slow to light off,
because they're useless to flash.

I would view that as another positive. I can not stand technology that
thinks it is smarter than I am and is geared towards the lowest common
denominator. Just say no to DRLs. Plus DRLs tend to defeat the purpose
of flash to pass. Not as much contrast between on and brighter on
during the day.
