Hids are in, was very easy.
Before the final install I ran one in the housing clamped to a bench. I aimed it at the inside of the garage door and made a tape outline of the cutoff.

I can tell you the only change between the 9006 and the HID was an improvement of the halo at the cutoff.
The Halogen produced more "rainbow" and the cut-off then the HID bulb did.

Man are they white. Makes me wish I had done it years ago. I almost want to go get a set for the truck, but I drive it for work only so not much point.

I do however have to get around the DRL. And no bulb out indicator on the shelf check either.

Great kit, so far I am very happy.
