[s-cars] Thinking about a VW

FWIW, my Mom's Passat 4motion V6, while a decent car, overall
a really nice family wagon (although I was surprised that it wasn't
able to swallow doors with the hatch closed and me (5'5") driving. I
was able to do that with a first gen Subaru Legacy). But I think
compared to driving an UrS you'd be rather disappointed with
the drivetrain. They're only availible with a 5 sp auto and they have
merely adequate power at highway speeds. Decent chassis dynamics,
even stock (as a family car). Okay, but unexceptional brakes.

I'd assume (from what I read) that the sport package W8's would fix
all that, but what I'm saying is you'd unlikely be too thrilled with a
V6 Passat.
