[s-cars] Resoldering Instrument Cluster

Hello All,
      I`m currently resoldering the connections on the IC boards. When I inspected the main board with a magnifying glass it appears that numerous connections on the (2) 26 pin connectors have solder jumping pairs of connections together. I could desolder and break the termination. Does anyone know if these bridges are suppose to be there ? I`de hate to go through all the work/install only to find out I was reinventing something. Please help before my wife kicks me off the kitchen table.
