[s-cars] Questions, again...

Eric,

Do the temp display backlighting when you upgrade the dash lights.
You will need to disassemble the display and solder in a new bulb.
IIRC, same drill with the shift display on the 100.

For the seats, this may be a dumb question, but are you sure they all
don't work? The passenger and rear seats won't heat up without weight
in the seat. Are you sitting in each seat for a few minutes with the
car running?

Tom

I have a '94 100S Avant that has a small hassle that I'd like to try and
fix:

On the dash, there is an indicator as to what the auto-tranny's selector
position happens to be - it's an LCD kind of thingy, and it's lost its
backlight. Is this an easy fix-it, or a "why bother" kind of thing?

Also, I want to clean and lube the window regulator and associated moving
parts - is it much of a hassle to get into the door to do this? My
watercooled VWs were easy to get at, but I'm not seeing the obvious,
obviously. :)

Now, the UrS content:

I lost the dash temperature display backlight. How's *that* to replace?
Should I just wait for my 2.0W conversion project, or is it a simple fix? I
also have discovered that NONE of the seat heaters work. The fuse looks
good, but is there more than one relay? I'd rather try and swap out a known
good relay or two before trying anything crazy like systematic
troubleshooting.

Thank you, O Wise(r) Ones (than me),

Eric
