[s-cars] Scan tool questions

I saw this scanner on Ebay  and I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge about it.  I have a 1997 S6 and it has the 16 pin connector in the centre console that looks like it should plug right it. 
My question is this: Will this unit clear the inspection service reminders (eg. In1) that appear in the trip meter?  I would like to have the ability to read the codes too, but I don't want to spend a fortune on a scan tool.
