The shock on the left is a cheap KYB with a 1" diam rod
The one on the right is the bilstein sport from my v8 quattro. Note the 5/8 
dimeter rod you dont normaly get to see(coverd by the yellow tube) remeber, 
these are inverted shocks, so what your left  to look at through the wheel 
wel is the 2" machined housing. The bilstein is just a much smaller 
shock.Allan
