Fellow S dudes,
Does my 93 UrS4 have the same Bose car stereo as a 93 V8? The reason I
want to know is while on http://www.crutchfield.com I found out they
didn't have an option for a 93 S4 so used the 93 V8 to find the
following information.
In my quest to integrate my Ipod into my car stereo I discovered the
Alpine KCA-420i. This neat little product not only provides a way to
get your music from the Ipod into the car stereo, but also controls the
Ipod using the controls built into an Alpine car stereo.

I'm looking at using it with the Alpine CDA-9847

Yes you have to have an Alpine stereo to use this. But the other thing
I learned while perusing Crutchfield's website is that there now seems
to be an adapter that can be used to interface the factory Bose system
with a new head unit. This adapter is nade by Pac audio and is called
the Pac OEM 2.
http://www.pac-audio.com/products/oem1.htm
So fellow S-car nutz, does this Pac OEM2 look like a good route to go,
or is there some reason that I will cause me to replace the entire
system in order to install an aftermarket head unit?
Thanks
Chris
