[s-cars] FW: I-5 OBD I or OBDII compliant? (was Re: S-CAR-ListDigest, Vol 16, Issue 32)

Well the I5 is coming back in the new Jetta. I've done very little
reading on the subject because the car looks fairly ugly. I understand
though that it's half a V10 lambo? (could be conjecture) Replacing the
old 2.0-liter engine is a 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder developed
specifically for North America. The base engine, which finally features
four valves per cylinder and dual-overhead cams, makes 150 hp at 5000
rpm and 170 lb-ft of torque at 3750 rpm. The 2.5-liter will be the only
engine available when the Jetta goes on sale in March.

Thanks, that's what I thought. It is the whole reason we no longer get
the I-5. A shame, motor is indestructible.
