Depending on how far you've disassembled/destroyed the existing clamp this may not be of much use to you, but what I do is spread the crimp on the clamp open bit by bit with some small screwdrivers up to the point that I can pull the hose off.  Then I re-install with the same clamp and then reach in with some diagonal wire cutters and recrimp (just don't squeeze too hard).
